There are many ways we can use our time and talents to serve others and share Christ's love. When we join Jesus on His mission in the community and in the world, we have the chance to do just that. You can join in too.
Our group gathers to make blankets and quilts that are given to organizations with disaster response efforts. We donate a number of blankets to Lutheran World Relief. We meet the first Wednesday of every month.
Volunteers on mission in our area serve a meal at Faith Mission on the first Thursday of every month to those who are homeless and/or underemployed. We serve lunch in odd months and dinner in even months. Food is prepared at St. John on the first Wednesday of each month. Many people are involved in donating food items, helping prepare and helping serve. As we share a warm meal with others, we can see how God is using us to be an extension of His love in our community.
We have deployed mission teams to Haiti since 2011 working with the local people on building and repair projects, medical clinics, camps for kids, and various other tasks needed. If you'd like to partner with us as we partner with our brothers and sisters in Haiti, please join us for the annual Golf Outing and Square Dance.
Our Lutheran Women's Missionary League are on mission every other month...they do frequent service projects and collect mites that go to fund what the LWML is doing all over the world.
People of the Book Lutheran Outreach and St. John Lutheran Church have united in hosting the Beshai Family; Heba and Joseph with their two sons from Egypt are here to minister to the ethnic & culturally diverse communities in the Dublin and Hilliard areas.
